Time to get ready for next season
I wanted to start the year by wishing you all a Happy new year and I hope that you enjoyed a good Christmas.
I really don’t know where the time goes to it won’t be long and we will be back opening Camping le Drennec. In fact in 12 week’s time it will be Easter Sunday and we will be open!
We seem to have been busy all winter in the UK looking after grandchildren, renovating and decorating and of course campsite planning and administration.
However, we have had some down time. We enjoyed a family holiday in Cornwall for our 30th wedding anniversary which was lovely and included a hot tub which soothed my aching bones after a full-on camping season. We have reconnected with friends and family in Derbyshire, Herefordshire and Manchester, enjoyed local walks and pubs and pints with pickled eggs!
Now is the count down to coming back and getting stuck in.
We still have to sort out the devastation from storm Ciaran, but I am confident that we will be ship shape and ready to open by Easter.
Poor old Andrew has been poorly with this nasty virus (apparently not covid) so I hope that he will start to feel better soon and be able to get back on his mower.
We have new bell tents and shelters for the glamping units We change our bell tents every 2 years and the shelters every year.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you and your furry friends back to the campsite in 2024.
Last year, if you remembe,r we lost poor old Digger, the original campsite dog, who over his time chased millions of balls, ate lots of sausages and loved having his tummy tickled. Poor Bobby has been bereft without Digger, so we thought that we needed to get him a companion to share the load.
So this season we will be introducing Honey - a golden retriever puppy. She will be coming to live with us in 2 week’s time !!! Fingers crossed she will fit the bill.
