And we're off...

The 10th season has started...

The campsite opened amid hail, wind and rain!!! But we have had some hardy campers and our first 10 out of 10 review!!

Apparently they were impressed with my geology knowledge about the Mont d'Arrée being the oldest mountains in the land - once soaring to a km high. They are now just over 300m which is the same height as our house in the UK.

The Parc d'Armorique here has just received UNESCO status because of its very special ancient geology, so it's well worth a visit.

The glamping tents have started to be erected and laundry sorted out for the lovely beds. The Love Shack of course is reserved, with people staying in it and enjoying the area in a warm, cosy cabin.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Restaurant Au Lac, visited Ty Elise, the Welsh bar at Plouyé and found a new pizza restaurant 15 minutes drive from the campsite that was very nice too. There is always something else to discover in this area and I feel that it is my job to test them out so I can give you my recommendations with first hand experience.

Next job will be getting Jacob's Hideaway ready for its first guests at the end of April and unwrapping the snack shack to see how it fared during the winter months.

We seem to have regained our fitness and enthusiasm after a difficult first couple of weeks. It's always great to see campers old and new and catch up with them and share an apéro.

We would love to see you all soon. The weather this weekend is set to reach the dizzy heights of 20 degrees. Better get the shorts out.
